Customized Polymer Extruder Screen Packs (Plastic & Melt Extruder Screens)
Customized Polymer Extruder Screen Packs (Plastic & Melt Extruder Screens)
1. Overview
Our extruder screen packs are critical for removing impurities during polymer and plastic extrusion, ensuring a clean, viable melt for high-quality end products. Available in diverse shapes (round, oval, kidney, cylinder) and configurations (single/multi-layer), they are compatible with all extruder types.

3. Applications
-
Plastic/rubber reclamation and profile extrusion.
-
Blown film extrusion and hot melt adhesives.
-
Food-grade processing (using non-toxic materials).
-
Chemical fiber production and melt filtration.
4. Features & Benefits
-
Precision Filtration: Blocks contaminants, gels, and foreign particles.
-
Heat/Corrosion Resistance: Suitable for harsh operating conditions.
-
Reusable & Cleanable: Reduces downtime and operational costs.
-
Customizable: Tailored shapes, layers, and edge treatments.
-
Continuous Operation: Rotating disk design for uninterrupted production.
5. Working Principle
The screen pack rotates within the extruder, with preset filtration time/pressure values. As molten polymer flows through the screens, impurities are trapped. When pressure reaches the threshold, the disk rotates to replace saturated screens with clean ones, ensuring seamless filtration.
6. Manufacturing Process
-
Plain Weave: Cost-effective for standard applications.
-
Dutch Weave: High-strength fine filtration without backup layers.
-
Multi-Layer Design: Coarse outer layers protect finer inner meshes from clogging.
